    Does a tiger ponder why he was put on earth and what the meaning of it all is? No question that we're still animals, but we have gotten to the point where we are capable to slaughter whole species while tigers does not even realize that there are whole species.

    So yes, we should respect our meat, mainly because we have such power over that animal/meat, without restraint, we'd be worse than hungry tigers.
