Louis Armstrong and the All Stars 1954 (July 12) A tribute to "the father of the Blues" William Christopher Handy (always refered to as: WC Handy i dont know if that is supposed to be funny) Born November 16 1873 died March 28, 1958 (aged 84) Composer, songwriter, musician (piano, cornet, trumpet, vocals), bandleader, author; active: 1893--1948. • I just happened to find this CD at the Humane Society Thrift Store in Pagaosa Springs, CO, where I own a little ranch with my 3 brothers. I go to this store every time I am there and always find something I want. I was just looking at the CDs and this one caught my eye, because I knew W.C. Handy and Louis Armstrong....I bought it and what a great album!!!!!

  • The 1st L.P I bought, a magic sound, driving beat all the way through, I managed to pick up another later reissue, different covers but love them both!!
