I agree with you 100% Fitzy. Epstein should put the Astros on speed dial.. On July 31 if the Stros are out of it they should think about trading for Lance Berkman. A switch hitter with power ( something we thought we had in Teixeria, but he can GFH).

Berkman would be a MONSTAH for the Sox. He can play 1st, OF and DH. He'd cost a pretty pennt (WAY more than Brad Penny) but I think he'd be worth it.

Yea the stros would want more than just Brad Penny for the Big Puma but I say Epstein goes for it. Even though I know all of NE is begging to see Big Papi break out his slump I don't think he can. Going after Berkman would be a way to ignite Papi's heat and if he is still slumping after they acquire him then maybe it's time we cut ties with the big guy. The Sawx can't win in October and hopefully November with a DH that's on par to hit 15-18 HR.
