Part 2: After the April 27th tornadoes that devastated Cullman, Birmingham and Tuscaloosa Alabama, the Talladega Superspeedway opened its gates to raise money for the victims of the disaster. The track was open to the public from May 6th through May 8th and anyone with a 50 dollar donation could take a couple of laps at 60-70 mph. Members of the Alabama Motoring Society gathered at the track with their Mini Coopers first thing Friday morning to run the track for charity. We were given six laps at 90-100 mph and had a blast for a worthy cause. Mini Coopers at Dega baby...yeah!
