In my book, definitely one of the top 10 greatest songs of all time. Paints pictures in your head like no other song can. And that too without any interference by a human voice dictating how you should hear the song.

This is simply the most heartbreaking album of all time. I've been listening to it for decades.

i recall listening to this while driving through the sonora desert near the arizona/mexico border at sunset. the music combined with the scenery and isolation made me feel i was on the surface of a different planet. brilliant.

There's nothing better than listening to this song while on a train traveling through SE Utah just before sunset. Perfect soundtrack to one of the Earth's most magnificent landscapes.

I was on really strong acid the first time i heard this sometime back in the mid -eighties. It really blew my away. The album was on repeat at the recordplayer and it made it a fantastic and unforgetable night.
