This is me, charlez360, playing my tenor saxophone to Dido's song "Thank You." I know it's kind of an oldie, but it's definitely a goodie too. I enjoyed playing this so much. It relaxed me, and just chilled me out. After a long week of stress, this seems to be the perfect song to play. I also haven't had time to play saxophone in a while (couple weeks), so this was certainly a nice way to get back into the groove of things.

This song was requested/suggested by a fan on the official charlez360 Facebook page (link above), but it's also FOR all of my fans. Your kind (and constructive haha) comments on the videos, the channel, and the Facebook page make me feel so much better all the time. Whenever I feel down and out, or I give up on my music, I read the comments and I'm reminded why I should continue. I just want to thank you guys for all of the support and for sticking with me through everything over the days, months, and for some of you, years. Thank you.

  • woww awesome....

  • Awesome! From a fellow sax player!! great job!

  • Fantastic ! you sound note perfect, and pretty cool with it.

It was my dream to play sax, but i failed, you are great well done.

  • That sounds beautiful.... I am learning how to play the alto sax.... Good job... Keep up the good work... ;)

  • You are amazing

  • Also bear in mind:

Playing with more air doesn't mean going "blastissimo" all the way, which is just playing so loud you wear out people's ear drums

Just fill the horn with air,and when you blow into it, try to imagine the air filling every crevice of your sax. If you can't imagine that, it's probably because you're not putting in enough air to BELIEVE that that is happening. You'll find it difficult, if not impossible to trick yourself into believing there's enough air if you know there's not.

  • WOW your tuning has become MUCH better

Your releases have improved, though I don't know if the microphone has any role in that

But who cares if it's the mic it sounds good

And you're really good at conveying emotion when you play

Now all you need is a little bit of vibrato on the extended notes, and give your notes in general a little more fullness(try for a richer tone, play w/ more air)

I play sax myself I know how tone can get wispy with open notes

But fix those things and you're golden

  • I want to play the sax again I guit in grade school I hate it the sax kicks ass

  • Wow!

  • Amazing job man!
