This Bulldog F4 hybrid mandolin has a body like that of a Loar-era Gibon F4, but with the slightly longer neck of an F5. It also has a Virzi tone producer in it, which adds complexity and a sort of chorus-like sound to the notes. Bulldog mandolins are made by Barry Kratzer. This is #19, made in December of 2006. The back is sycamore.

What beautiful mandolin! And a fabulous sound too. The idea of put a vizi in an oval hole in ingenious! The chords have such a dense complex sound amazing! All of a sudden I have a relapse of mandolin acquistion syndrome! Thanks for posting this.
