  • Not sure as to why all the reviews for the Patriot are so negative. It is a wonderful vehicle for what it is, which is a small SUV with decent off road capability. Will it go rock climbing? Hell no, but it will leave the CR-V, the Escape, and the RAV4 sitting on the side of the road while the Jeep goes out and has some fun.

  • each time i see the jeep patriot im falling in love with it more & more.

  • Buy a used XJ for $5000 similar size, reliable, way better overall vehicle and with cheap mods can perform like a Jeep !!!

  • Not enough room. I was considering this vehicle to purchase. My driving has been around town and highway, and it is sluggish getting up to speed (nothing like my mom's grand Cherokee), it is roomy for a small suv, but if I want roomy...My Charger has more trunk space and passenger room!

  • After driving one as a rental car....WHAT A PIECE OF S***. I am not an offroader by any means, but this has got be the worst product Jeep has ever built. It is underpowered, has significant road noise. Chrysler has put more powerful four-cylinders in the frigging neon! I was considering possibly buying one of these to replace my old Saturn....Man was I disappointed. We have the rental for a few days, and I can just say I wish we took another rental..this is sad excuse for a Jeep! IT SUCKS!

  • Nice test. This is what I like to see real testing!! Well done!

  • @dadsbabypu Doesn't rock climb :'( So sad, haha It's ok, I need it to go through mud :D It's a really good SUV, in my opinion. :)

  • every time i watch these it impresses me. for that little 4cyl and car frame, that thing seems to go over these trails so smoothly, with little to no noise and minimal rocking. It just glides. I know it's no wrangler or redneck, gas guzzling 4x4, but I don't offroad much and when i do, it's stuff like this. mtn trails on vacation, trails to get to the paintball field, etc. Even if I went with a Wrangler I wouldn't want to beat it on rocks til it was 10 years old. I can't afford a DD and a toy

  • Why must they go so fast on this off-road course... Is it because the patriot will get stuck too easy so they need to the momentum ??

  • @skaterboy52093c A mazda 121 can get over a small bump...U wanna insult and make ur over aged pick up truck look good, then stick to old times bro! Just cause ur poor, dont be nasty! No 1 really needs a true off roader. Even the most off road fanatics would only go off road once in a while... even then, an averadge off roader will do the job! U keep driving ur Gas sucking over weighted and powered, house of a trucktor. Cause ppl know better, unlike ur sorry ass! Skaterboy!

  • i have a jeep patriot, and i am quite surprised on it's offroad capability, especially for a 2wd. it can handle ruts, mud, inclines, declines, and much more

  • I have a Jeep Patriot, its no wrangler, but it gets the job done
