From Anderson Cooper 360 Dana Bash reports that the auto bailout died in the Senate. Ali Velshi comments on the potential impact on the stock market due to this news, and Bash also reports that the Bush administration may yet use some of the TARP money slated for Wall Street to bail out the auto industry instead since they do not want to see a collapse of those companies on their watch.

What i don't understand is why these larger auto manufactuers are making such a higher pay wage as apposed to the smaller teir 1 and teir 2 suppliers.. I work as a technician for a auto company and my pay rate is under $14. per hour. But yet technicians in BREAD plants make $20. + per hour ????

That's a fair explanation. Seems to be lacking some balance though, if you ask me. Our Conservative government seems to be like that in Canada too.

Wow what a shock the traitors don't give a damn about American workers. Can we just nuke the south and start over.

Republicans are pro-business that is why. They lean more towards corporations than they do towards workers. Union=tyranny to Republicans

What is with the union-busting going on in the world? Stephen Harper tried to hide a union-busting measure in Canada's budget just recently. I really don't understand what issue conservatives have with organized labour.
