I used to live here. Down the street from k.e.s. And umm I lived there for 8 years. I'm 14 now so... The tiki was a fun hang out. The nco club was kinda nasty lol. Pinapple park in Nago was fun. And ummm yea there giving up one of the bases back to japan. It's that one naval base not to far from kadena. I was born in that hospital.

You know, that island is where I made most of my childhood memories,The feeling of leaving the US and landing around 3 in the morning at a airport seeing all the lights and the ferris wheel in chatan cho, its a amazing feeling..... Im truly sorry I had to move it was the best time of my life...

I was at Kadena 95-2001 was in a lot of typhoons but none of them compare to the ones that hit Guam. First one I was in when I arrived at Andersen the weather Squadrons wind speed device broke. Last reading from it was 150 MPH.

I was with the 15th Tac Recon Sq from 61-63. Remember "typhoon Fifth's" and 72 hour card games, and nasans in the barracks.

We lived on the sea wall, and went through a typhoon. I think it was in 1998 or 1999. I can't remember. We lost power for 24 hours, but no damage.
