Part 1 of 2
My first visit to the West Somerset on a normal summer day since 2006. The weather was almost perfect, with the sun only being interupted by some cloud and wind during the day. I made the trip to the railway with JBTEvans, GJDobbzy, GWRDec, and jakeyboygen. The engines in service were the DMU, GWR 2885 No 3850, SDJR 7F No 88, and WSR Mogul No 9351.
After catching the first train off Bishops Lydeard, we pass 3850 with the first train from MInehead at Blue Anchor. After a wait at Minehead, we stay with the DMU and head back south, passing 88 at Blue Anchor. We then see the DMU departing Watchet heading for Bishops Lydeard, before 9351 arrives with the third train of the day for Minehead. After seeing the mogul run round, we see 3850 returning from Bishops Lydeard. The 2-8-0 then swaps rosters with the mogul and takes 9351s service to Bishops Lydeard. Then After the mogul has been turned, it runs down past the level crossing before attaching to the front of the next departure from Minehead. And finally in this part we see the Mogul departing Dunster for Bishops Lydeard.
