AI - Beginning

My first attempt at AI. The red and green dots represent creatures whose aim is to collect food (black dots). At the end of every generation their chromosomes are combined to create a new generation of creatures. With time they evolve in a way that allows them to collect food more efficiently. The implementation uses an artificial feed-forward neural network (with 4 inputs, 15 hidden neurons and 2 outputs) as well as a genetic algorithm which "mates" the creatures' genes. This video shows the first few generations and their erratic movement. When compared with the other video at around the 165th generation, the difference is quite obvious.
