Now that I found a working beta VCR I'm finally able to see all the tapes my parents recorded. This one was recorded sometime in 1984 just before our move from Vineland, New Jersey.

My Dad and I would always watch Charlie Chan theater during the weekend.

  • That burnt orange living room set looked comfortable oh wee!

  • lol, thanks for this. Every time I hear/read someone say, "where did everybody go?", I say "they've gone to Betson's". No one ever knows what I'm talking about. Now I have a link to send them to. :oD

  • DVR it and post it, PLEASE :D I don't live in the area any more and I'd love to see it again.

  • They recently started showing the Jimmy's Auto Parts commercial again. I saw it a few days ago and it was such a nice reminder of my childhood.

  • Classic! BTW, I NEED to see Jimmy's auto parts commercial. Does anyone have it. I used to see it air at like 1:00 AM on 48,29 or 17. Loved the junkyard of singing parts!

  • I used to love the poker one. Wish I could see it again.

  • I have in fact 2 Betsons commercials I recorded when I used to watch Night Gallery.......in one, Betson is dancing with a belly dancer and the other he playing poker and a full house......

  • I remember the one at 2nd and the Blvd the furniture was the worse.

  • haha.. thats too funny.. i still say that shit.. and everybody looks at me like wtf?

  • TY, now all I need is Jimmy's Used Auto Parts or Earl Schieb (rriiiiight!)
