Christian goodwill beautifully displayed at the church of the nativity, Bethlehem

A fight broke out at the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem on Wednesday after rival groups of Orthodox and Armenian clerics clashed over the boundaries of their jurisdictions inside the church.

Police armed with batons and shields stormed the church to restore order during the preparations for Orthodox Christmas celebrations.

We have made great progress! We no longer practice the worst parts of the bible (slavery, genocide)... well mostly. We have stopped openly approving female subjugation, open nationalistic wars, child abuse. We have even decreased practicing all of those things.

If we don't self-exterminate in the next couple of centuries we may become a rational, caring species, that deserve to spread across the stars.

And this is among the differenlty Orthodox! If I understand right, they all have the same ideas about the character of their imaginary Jesus, and only quibble about really minor stuff, like what is the character of their worship and in what language, and whose patriarch has the "apostolic succession". Really childish stuff, like two different denominations of Presbyterianism having a doctrinal dispute.
