hey im having problems with the debug code, did you use a joker code to get the quick continue to show up or did you do something else.

The codes are in the debug room FAQ; you'll need a cheat device, or an emulator with cheat software.

According to the file on GameFAQs, the debug rooms are in the North American version too.
