@Suspiria10 go to google map and type in ebeye and then type in ebeye base, compare that land vs theirs. your saying you cant fix that small region up
-
@Suspiria10 Modern day slavery created by yours truly. No different than an exploitative employer, no different than it was years ago when America used slaves. Cant believe this is a reality...this goes against everything they taught me in school...

@hkfronzak1 i seen what i saw with my eyes... the film clearly shows the depicts the difference between the two different lifestyles...that lil island just across the lagoon is riddled with trash and yet again those occupy the space just across it can build pools, housing and infrastructures worth in the millions yet again they cant at least fix that little part of the island for them... throw in a few concrete buildings..all they have to do is supply them with building materials..

u never ever ever ever trust america....EVVVEERRR... They will not share a dime..or as in this case...just a dime or two but its not their problem if you cant make the most out of those 2 dimes... if you're a poor undeveloped country, and America wants to step in and help. Take 20 steps back and run... America is known for lies, propaganda and like a virus...once installed... they'll consume your resources as much as possible

If USA can spent billions of dollars with wars and many other nonesense things why is it hard to spent millions on the marshallese after the bombing testing on the Marshall?we the Marshallese i mean all marshallese people are really suffering effected from the testing, radiation and all them other damages.how can you say is not your responsible when you first started..nobody can change the past but at least make the marshallese feel untaking advantage of..is really sad:(. It's hard to pay attent

and @nerblebun, what do you suggest they do with their trash? If you have a solution, please share. Continuing to burn it clearly won't work well in the long-term, the ocean is too respected (and a source of food) so they can't dump it, and they can't bag it up and have it magically disappear to a remote landfill like we do in the U.S. An engineer is on Ebeye right now trying to figure out a solution -- I'll be amazed if he's able to.

I lived on Kwaj. for 5 years and have many friends on Ebeye. Ebeye is filthy because the Marshallese won't clean it up.If they cared that much about it... a crew of 20 volunteers could have the island clean in a month. Don't blame the U.S. for the garbage on Ebeye.
As a former Kwajalein resident whose dissertation is on the military's effects on Marshallese culture, I've got to point out that the filmmakers showed no regard for the actual relationship between the countries. The US messed up, but they're attempting to rectify the situation -- improving healthcare, employing Marshallese at wages set by THEIR gov't to avoid further unbalancing the economy, providing water/electricity... investigate the issue in its entirety before you jump to conclusions.
