@TheTweeter53 I don't know how innocent of a world it was. This was a time of coups, assassinations, cia missions, undeclared wars, espionage, etc. Maybe a lot of the public choose not to believe it but the failures of the security and secret service can't but put at the foot of innocence.

@dmsmith1002 Make no mistake, there was some thinking going on there.

@SUNMAYDEN518 yes and no hinckley had followed him to a couple different cities if im not mistaken. its actually very interesting that hinckleys brother was going to have dinner with marvin bush or 1 of ghw bush's sons on the night of the reagan attempt

@dmsmith1002 It was a different world then. We were more naive, innocent, and trusting. It was a little bit like pre 9-11. Who would have thought that someone was capable of doing such a horrible deed? The world is much more violent today than it was in 1963, and that's sad.

they published the time line of reagan also. thats why hinckley knew the plan

I keep looking at the footage where the Kennedys are downtown among all those tall buildings and keep thinking, "what the hell were they thinking publishing the route ahead of time?" They evidently weren't. How times have changed.
