I think that the children shouldn't have had to be held responsible for the actions of their parents. Sadly to the Bolsheviks, the children represented a future to the monarchy and were therefore a threat - though the girls can only maqrry to other families, and Alexei was probably to sick and frail to rule. They discovered Alexei's remains a few years with the final daughter. I am glad he can finally be put to rest in a proper grave.

Somtimes, we loose track of the realities...The Tsar and his family were creations of their age...I can't say they did any "worse" than George III in England, or Louis in France...what is so tragic is that "freedom" is all too often purchased at the expense of human life. Revolution, especially violent revolution, is the philosphical equivalent of a sledgehammer...once you begin to swing, the momentum often carries you beyond what you intended to accomplish.

@SunsetterIndy Thank you. I could continue writing like this like forever 'cause I can't express the anger I feel about this. It's not even my country I'm talking about! Sometimes I feel like my place is in Russia, not Croatia, altough I love Croatia with all my heart. Now I'm 15 and I think it's sad that children my age don't pay attention to the history the way thay should :/ I also started learning Russian, by myself 'cause my parents don't like me loving Russia so much :/

What music did you use for this? Very good tribute. RIP Alexis Romanov.

Touching as it is accurate, thank you for posting such a poignant view of the historic obscenity committed at Ekaterinburg. The Imperial family were the best of people in hideous circumstances. May God preserve Holy Russia & forever bless the memory of Bolshevism's most famous innocent victims.

@rickallwood5862 One historical truism you should all acknowledge: happy well fed people do not revolt against their leaders, only poor underfed people going to war without shoes and guns. Tzar Nicholas couldn't run a chook raffle at the local bowls club.

Alexei sweet angel you are in heaven and a saint as are your sisters and your dearest mama and papa the Tsar and Tsarina. Pray for us still here on this valley of tears.

all this hate.. that I read.. when will it stop.. ??
@hurraforUSSR Do you have a plan for the rebirth of the USSR? Remember that it went out with a bust and not a bang in part because there're too many people spending too much time shouting slogans. If the Tsar is "a murderer" as you say, take him to trial, shooting his entire family is justified under no system of law, is that lawless state what you wish the USSR to be? And talking about pigs, Royalist pigs and communist pigs are but pigs with different ideologies.

I have always believed that Alexei Romanov would have been a good tsar. He had more experience than his father had at his age. That is a good thing Tsar Nicholas did, unlike his father. He brought Alexei to the front, let him sit in meetings sometimes. Tsar Nicholas's father did just the opposite, sheltered Nicholas from all contact of royal responsibilty!
I love imperial Russia!!
