Riding the school bus on the field trip. Powered by 2001 EPA Certified Cat C7 engine. To notice how the different engine sound between Cat and Mercedes Benz engine sound, listen to the engine sound when the bus accelerates as it begins to move.

Momentarily, as the bus passes the second intersection, you see the Septa Bus on route 105 to 69th Street Terminal coming from the opposite direction that's about to make a left turn as the school bus bypass it.

  • thats a cat 3126

  • Nice video; however, the Cat C7 was not available until 2004, so if that bus is 2001, it has a Cat 3126. And your right, the Cat and Mercedes engines have entirely different sounds.

  • Did the battery go dead like a car on that school bus or was it just the alternator?

  • I have Thomas Freight Liner Bus #74

  • i know that because i ride that bus everyday to school it breaks down alot but its a tough bus its last break down was caused from the alternator
