Is scs part of the clean water act? Farms get a pass on pollution. I believe farms are the largest source of water pollution and yet nothing is done to stop it. We as a nation even subsidize the pollution farms produce.
@1967ref Soil conservation programs are in place across the country. There are many different kinds. Some are mandatory and some are not. The USDA has information you can look up.
Interesting show Bill, but I think a big point is missed. Yes development does disturb soil, but how does land development compare to farming? What if anything do farmers do to stop sediment pollution? It seems to me that if we are serious as a nation to keep our water clean then something should be required of farmers.
