Stars Patricia Clarkson and Alexander Siddig, along with director Ruba Nadda discuss the new film Cairo Time, premiering at the 2009 Toronto International Film Festival.

Juliette (Clarkson), a fashion magazine editor in her 50s, travels to Cairo to meet her husband, Mark, a UN official working in Gaza, for a three week vacation. When he is unavoidably delayed, he sends his friend Tareq (Siddig), who had been his security officer for many years, to escort her throughout the beautiful and exotic city. The last thing anyone expects is that they will fall in love.

  • One of the most beautiful movies I have seen in a long time. The scenery and culture of Cairo has been portrayed in a gorgeous manner. The chemistry between the lead pair is subtle, yet beautiful. Kudos to the director and the actors on a job well done!

  • he's so charming

  • @masked2005 Sir. I am an Egyptian who immigrated to Canada (just as you wish to) about 10 years ago. This movie made me cry so much, not because of the romance, but because of the beauty that it is. It made me so homesick, that I had to go back home. Cairo is one of the most amazing cities in the world, so please be proud of it, or don't say you're Egyptian.

  • @masked2005 aren't u even ashamed of urself oh my (if u really an egyptian) i really wish that ur wish come true >.i refuse any one to talk about my country like that u really dont deserve to be egyptian > go and find a home that accepts u

but dont talk about egypt like that > u by talking like that dont even affect egypt but u hurt those honorable egyptians who love and adore this countery with its good and bad it is enough even to love and know ur religionto love this great countery

  • the movie is really good aweosme work but the seen who the got the some guys tryin to fillert her that's not really true i know there ppl like that there but not that bad but anything else about the movie is great
