Noel Gallagher performing the first half of 'Wonderwall' at the Free Tibet concert, 1997. Have to say, I've never seen someone play solo with a Les Paul and Marshall stack like this before. Looks like it went down a treat though!

  • @MarkyNova How can you say no way to the Stones. They still sellout tours still produce music, are icons. and have toured every country & played the BIGGEST I have ever been to. 500,000 people in Toronto as the headliners. Also they played Copacabana Beach in Rio to 1.5MILLION people. As well they hold the 2nd,8th, 9th,& 10th highest grossing tours of all time. Also if Oasis & the Stones were to be on the same bill The Stones would be the headliner.

  • @TNO73 you can't very well disagree with my opinion then come up with your own theory... it's an opinion. Fair enough the beatles and zepplin but no way the stones. If you're saying sales and chart positions are irrelevant then what else do the beatles have going for them...? yes they inspired a generation but as did oasis

  • lol there is just a Stage, Noel, and a big Marshall stack :D and Wonderwall

  • Apart from Billy Bragg, it's uncommon to see someone playing in a solo setting like this with an electric guitar. Sounds good enough for me though

  • @MarkyNova I don't dislike Oasis. I think they are a really good band, but I must admit that I hate when people say they are THE greatest band to come out of Britain. Britain is responsible for legendary acts likeThe Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Who & Led Zeppelin. All bands I would say are greater than Oasis based on their influence on other acts. Where most bands tour & might play to a million people over the course of the tour Zeppelin played 1 show that over a million tried to get tix.

  • where's the rest of the band?

  • fucking awesome-o!

  • a sign of things to come,,,,,Personally, i am hoping his solo work is a hybrid of the brillance of Teohuician and Falling Down..

  • @MarkyNova I love this song & think Noel is a great songwriter, but to claim Oasis as the greatest band to come out of Britain is false IMHO. You can't strictly go by sales & chart positions when it comes to music since even crap makes it on the charts. The Beatles will always be the band that introduced British music to the world. Also the Stones. Early stuff still sounds fresh. Led Zep IMO is the best ever though. All 4 members rank tops or near it at their insturment. played by their own rules

  • what a shit crowd lol
