  • what is the name and artist of the first song?

  • @becky1804 Atlantis is the group [Czech] and Dlouhy Stin [Long Shadow] is the name of the first song.

  • @djanchovy thanks :) im using it in a university project about Czechoslovakia

  • @becky1804 There is alot of great music like this from Czechoslovakia during the period 1967-1973. Alot of it was reissued on CD between the years 1995-2002 to coincide with a long running Czech TV series called Big Beat, a history of Czech rock music. Both Atlantis CDs are now out of print but well worth seeking out. Other excellent groups include; Blue Effect,Matadors,George & Beatovens,Olympic,Flamengo,Golden Kids Orchestra and the solo work of Marta Kubisova.

  • @djanchovy do you know any facts about the band at all?

  • @becky1804 Hana and Petr Ulrychovi were brother/sister from Brno, Czechoslovakia. Hana was the singer in a group called Bluesmen [see my video] and later they both recorded with Atlantis and also a group called Vulkan. They recorded an LP called Odyssea [see my video] in 1969 that was banned by the communist regime, eventually released in 1990 after the revolution. Today they record/perform with a group called Javory and play traditional Czech folk music.

  • @djanchovy

what is the name of the band that does the first song?

  • @wilkes85 I wouldn't have parted with them but I eventually found both of the very rare CDs of their stuff that came out in the 90s.

  • Whoever bought these records is one lucky bastard!
