Thanks for approving my video response (I advertise your modernbluesharmonica site at the end, letting people know that's where they can buy the tabs/instructional video).
One of the things I took away from Hill Country Harmonica was deciding to buy a mic (I bought the Electro-Voice 635A after Billy Branch mentioned that its skinniness makes it easier to use your hands to get the wah) and learn how to play amplified harp—this was my first attempt and I'm not *at all* comfortable with it yet!

would love to learn this Adam please do a lesson on this . great playing
amazingly played...
I just realized that Big Walter Horton's "Rockin' My Boogie" is a take off on the St. Louis Blues.
Unbelievable. I never figured this out myself.

Right you are. I'm sure I stole the basic outlines from him, since I've loved that cut for a long time. But yes: he tosses in the whole thing, including the bridge.

I manage to extract overblows from off-the-shelf Hohner Marine Bands, but they're certainly not optimal. Seydel 1847 are better for that. Brad Harrison, Chris Michalek, and Jason Ricci all make terrific custom harps.

It´s perhaps impolite to point out, but shouldn´t there be an OB in the 1st octave (hole1, 2nd bar)? Can´t say I blame you for dodging it, but still ... Anyway, nicely done.

Ah, my friend, you've got good ears. Yes, and I'm actually able to make that note as a passing tone, so I could have done it. I tend to finesse it (leave it out).

Just one word: Beautiful: Thank you Adam for sharing your talent with your fans/students so unselfishly. Hope you get to do a show in the Hudson Valley.

We're playing the Turning Point on 6/19/09. That's the one show we'll be playing in the area, I'm afraid. Come on down!
