It's interesting that there has been no warming since 2005.

Even more interesting when one looks at a chart of solar energy output and sees that the Sun stopped warming around 2005.

Somehow, that "man-made" global warming closely follows the Sun's energy output.

It's really not worth it to argue with the deniers anymore. The die is cast. We're going down the path leading to apocalypse. Nothing is going to be done. Just get out your popcorn and watch the planet punish us for messing with our cushy environment, the one in which we evolved to end up trashing. Oh well, humans had a great potential and we wasted it with constant growth in a finite environment, just like yeast in a wine barrel. The planet doesn't care.

@practicepants Yeah except every major global temperature tracking system in the world says we are in fact cooling, Hadely CRU Nasa etc. So boo hoo for you and poo poo on that false accusation because it has been PROVEN to be a lie. We know solar activity correlated with 1975-95 warming. Sorry... youre wrong.

@KingDingaLing090 Empirical evidence shows the Earth warming for the last 35 years. The Little Ice Age again was regional and did not affect the whole planet. The mid-century cooler period was caused by reduced solar activity which unsuprisingly, was being measured at the time. The difference now is there is only one explaination for current trends(and those of the mid 20th century once you factor in solar activity). Well you know what I'm going to say - CO2.

@practicepants Yeah right, temerature records predicted global warming. Of course we are warming on a macroscopic scale, we have been warming since the end of the little ice age, 200 years or so... Problem is,... The global warming theory predicted that increased fossil fuel emisions would create warming, yet it doesnt ,and the earth is in another cooling stage... maybe it will be like the one circa 1945-1975. (also obviously natural)

@KingDingaLing090 Computer models predicted the earth would get warmer and IT HAS DONE. No-one covered up the Medieaval warming period because there was no need. There were localised warm periods in parts of the North-Western Hemisphere, but the planet as a whole was cooler - this has been repeatedly backed up by new evidence from tree rings, silt cores, pollen analysis.

Distorting the truth really is just like breathing to you lot isn't it.

@practicepants They use computer models to make predictions, the conclusions they make are based on the results of equations in computer programs. And they predicted the earth was going to get warmer and it got cooler. That means... THEY WERE WRONG you goofy bastard WRONG. The ice core samples show the IPCC covered up the Medieval Warming Period, the tree ring data was manipulated so one sample was concentrated while others were ingored. That is what Michael Mann is famous for.

I think what you mean is Climatologists use computer models in their work, but you'd have to be thick as shit not to realize that they correlate findings from ice core samples, tree rings, solar activity, historic records, etc. Those things are concrete and real. Hell even you admit the Earth is warming! Remember Dingalinggate?
