  • Hi, The cat's name is Baru, her nick name is Diesel!

    Jerry

  • What's with the qutoation marks around diesel on the title?

  • @Dinosorable

Hi, It is powered by a model airplane glow plug engine. These work on the diesel principle, but use glow plug engine fuel, not real "diesel" fuel or kerosene. In the strictest technical sense, a true diesel engine does not need a glow plug, not even for starting. I have tried a true diesel model airplane engine, but the excess vibration & inability to idle slow makes them unsuitable for this use. It can probably be done, but a more advanced design would be needed. Thanks, Jerry

  • Hello, Does not overheat. I have the motor / generator specially made. 4 stroke engines are too tall to fit into a 1:32 model. Glad you like it! Thanks, Jerry

  • Hi,

Yes, all wheels are powered. There is a different type of muffler / oil collection system which is much easier to empty. The cooling fan has been modified and is mounted to chassis. I can email you a video of the first one being test run if you send me your direct email address. I will shortly post it on Youtube. Thanks, Jerry

  • Hi, Yes, it is an OS.15 LA series glow plug engine. Jerry

  • @hydeoutmountain What's a glow plug? And where and how did they get an airplane engine?

  • that's cool as hell

  • lol @ your cat :P

  • Well, you don't see this everyday. Does the cat run on diesel as well?

  • @synthfreakify hi...ive just attempted to build an O gauge 32mm live diesel electric loco.....depending on how many wheels are powered and how real you want it to look, it is actually rather easy....ive hit a few problems along the way but it should be a nice little model when completed
