Inspired by the imaginary creatures described in Lewis Carroll's THROUGH THE LOOKING-GRASS.

JABBERWOCKY

'Twas brilling, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe:
All mimsy were the borogoves,
And the mome raths outrabe.

Technically, used a modeling and animation system developed by Debuchi.
Non-linear deformation functions were prepared in this system, for example twisting, bending, pulling out, tapering, caving, sine curving and so on.
This system allows to create and animate flexible objects by serial linkage or parallel linkage of deformation functions according to hierarchical structure.

Besides that, in this work, some experiments had been as technology advanced at the time.
Movie texture, moving bump texture, morphing effects obtained by moving each pixel of 2D image, realistic texture obtained by overlaying a color texture and the bump texture of the same image, etc. Screened at SIGGRAPH '88
