Great song and performance by one of my all time favorite bands, The Police. Here is some of the back story: and then there's 'Peanuts', a quirky number not unlike Devo's 'Uncontrollable Urge', which Sting says is "about my disappointment with Rod Stewart, who became a big joke when he used to be a big hero." I think they refer to people like Rod Stewart as a "wanker" in England (i.e., A detestable person). Google this to get the skinny: 01.01.1979 - The Aquarian. Peace
First I wanted to say that Andy is on fire with his solo, but it's way more correct to say that the whole band just kicks ass here. THE Police 4 LIFE !!!!!
Great quality. Great band. Thanks for posting. This is one Andy's better solos. Sting's tone and timing are exceptional. Stewart is, well, my favorite.
I'm torn between sting and Clapton as who I find more influential in my life. Patocularily aging during the police but also when he had heavy jazz influenced music during his solo carreer. Eric Clapton I like the best during Derek and the dominoes but his solo career stuff blows me away as well. I'd say they are two of the most infliential people in rock music. God bless both o them
