@OlegKostoglatov Now it'sJapan Victor Company, Their stuff is Chinese Made now :-(

Just in case you wonder where the name "Nivico" comes from, I read some place that it was originally an acronym for "NIppon Victor Company"

@ForgetfulCollector The main problem that happens with old metal cased transistors is the transistors developing internal shorts due to metal "whiskers" forming between the elements. Just as with tube stuff it very rare for a cap to blow them out unless one shorts out in the wrong part of a circuit, most just dry out and go open.

I have this same TV, except it's a JVC TV that's branded by "Delmonico". Very nice.
Good day
Neat little collectors item...but buddy!!
Don't run it until it has been properly gone over..not just fiddle with the controls. ..
The caps will be ALL BAD..if you keep playing with it you'll blow 1 of the "good frikken luck" finding replacement transistors! 99%of the transistors back then were Germanium..not Silicon.
You can't buy new anymore. .
That goes for all old electronics! DON"T run them until they have had shorting parts replaced,..then you can enjoy them in their new glow

@RetroCaptain Don't think I don't know all of that stuff already. Especially since the video was done (has it been that long?) two years ago. Still, I appreciate the comment.
