2012, a popular end-times (or beginning times?) prophecy needs little introduction these days. Or does it? What are the facts? Where do the stories come from? Is it another scare like Y2K?

British researcher Geoff Stray, one of the world's foremost experts on the 2012 phenomenon, has investigated these questions for several decades. He has written many books and maintains one of the longest-running websites on the topic. He has found that there is no one answer, but many questions and many possibilities.
