alright, let's just assume for a moment that every child is special. so then is every adult spcial? if not, then when do you go from being SPECIAL, to being NOT SO SPECIAL? and if eevery adult IS special then the whole thing loses its fucking meaning and we're right back where we started.

haha.. u r rite buddy..no one can be "Special" if everyone is "Special". But, we never say every adult is special .. .though sometimes we say every person is special... so that includes every1.. this is just a motivational song for underprivileged children.. I know they are not watching this, but may be the ones who are watching can do something for them ..simply by making them realize that there is something more they r worthy of. And if u understand the song, its really touching.

Masha Allah:) i have watched this movie, and the story is beyond words. this is one of my fav motivational stories, perhaps the best indian movie with full of messages. and yes every child is a lil star on earth. see how they brighten our days. trust me :):)

@habs4life9 although u have posted this a year back , and u probably wont be reading my reply. but i cant help but share with u that we say "every chid is special, and NOT every adult is special, because as we start growing up, we get polluted with the evils of jealousy, hatred, anger, and competition. Children on the other hand express emotions with no evil motive. They are as pure as purity can be defined..

@habs4life9 That is just the point. Being unique carries a lot of things inside ,very deep like you say. That gives us the right of being treated specially. People cannot be raised and educated industrially, in mass, all the same way. Not. Education must be adapted for each child. That's the idea of that phrase, I think that is not bullshit at all. I also think that is possible, teachers and parents just need to try harder.

@Bquillamus what? that makes no sense. i was talking about the intended meaning of the use of "special" in a phrase like "every child is special". it's clearly meant to be something intuitively deeper than a denotation meaning "unique". i'm saying that perceived extra depth is meaningless bullshit.
