More on the silaging on the edge of Snowdonia, where a trailed forage harvester is doing very nicely with no more than three trailers. We see a trailer -change, too. Slower than the big boys, but maybe a tad less expensive? It looks good anyway, and the speed doesn't take your breath away! Good to see old Fergies (MF390T) still hard at work, and the John Deere 3050 wasn't born yesterday, either. Not sure about the Claas or New Holland.

  • the dog looks very content beside the fella driving the harvester, hard to beleive there's only 100hp in the 3050, hard to beleive still that the 390t looks very comfortable on the mower, i'm usually driving a 390t during the summer myself and always quite amazed at how gutsy it is when it matters.

I used to borrow a 390T when we were in Scotland, and I loved it! But 100HP is fine for most jobs - we used to do everything with a MF 35 years ago!!!!!

  • @balmesh mf 135 i suppose, i must pull the finger out and upload a few pics for you of a 135 a relation of mine bought a few weeks ago, this tractor is in completely original condition, very little use.

  • To jamesmorrisseyvvti

Yes, that would be interesting. Mine was far from original, being built as a 2135 for Highway use, had a cab added, and I added an alternator and two-way hydraulic selector.

  • them old deeres are some machines, our 3350 standard 40k box does 33mph, thats like 50k!

You know, I noticed none of that! Perhaps because my 135 had no windows in the cab, either!

  • To endamc79

What did you see then that I didn't? Broken window?

Erm . . Thank you, Pat. Where's all your silaging stuff then for this year? Sure you have some gorgeous images waiting for us somewhere.

Thanks Liam. You are always a mine of information and it's very useful. Gives me a good excuse for not knnowing the difference unless i get close enough to read it!
