Blowing up a zx2

This motor was out of a junk yard zx2. It was having a hard time starting. Exhaust gasses were flowing in the coolant over pressurizing it, and in the end oil was in the coolant as well. We tried to destroy it using bleach in the oil and reving to 9k eventually pinning the needle at what I can assume is close to 10k. It didn't blow, and the car still starts. New motor is in the shop being built.

maybe i missed something... but was there a purpose to this? like... at first i thought u were just dickin around blowin up the engine u had so u could rebuild it or swap it... then towards the end u got nervous and acted like u were gunna get in trouble if anyone found out... no hate, it's a funny vid. i'm just curious. :D

@NisMoMoFo I didn't want the actual car damaged, I didn't want an engine fire. I had a new motor to put in which is in there now.

As a way of forcing the oil to break up...hopefully ruin whatever was left of the piston rings etc. Just to break the motor. We also added paint thinner, rocks, and various foliage.

what's awesome is when you blow the stock zx2 motor the saleen focus v6 fits in there perfectly! yumm horsepower!

They redline between 6900 or 7200 rpm's. 8k is where the rpm gauge stops. I have SCT and can change the rev limit to wherever I want. With my bolt ons I was able to let the engine rev to as high as it can. Mr. Iownazx2. I've done 10 transmission swaps and 6 engine swaps and now have built a 8500 revving NA motor that once tuned will make 170ish whp and run low 14's.

true to that i had a zx2 sport with a couple mods and a 75 shot nitrous kit my motor ran i gave it hell everyday all day that motor put out extremely tuff motor thanks mazda!!!/ford
