  • I don't have enough experience of firing other locos to make a direct comparison. Steam raising seems quicker. The main snag is that the chimney is nearer the driver so one gets quite a lot of oily water hitting you when you move off from cold. Similarly with showers of cinders if you make it work really hard.

  • -Where's the brake!- Haha! Looks like an easily manigable loco, just a good size really and something a little different from the norm. How is the verticle boiler steam capasity compared to horizontal oilers?
