Phil romping the BTR Pacer 70 round the course at Weymouth. Another test run under race conditions which resulted in a 4th place 2 laps behind the Big Tee Pacer 60 of son Cam. The 70 was awesome in the rough conditions caused by the rescue boat and where other boats were either backing off for the chop or driving around it, Phil was deliberately looking for the roughest water possible to put this new hull through its paces and was pretty much flat out the whole time. Only one stoppage for a stall when a slower boat stopped right under the bows and Phil had to take avoiding action and this resulted in the 70 drifting into the safety netting which caused a 10 min recovery. A podium would have been on the cards were it not for the stoppage. The important thing though is that the 70 was reliable and phenomenal in the rough.
