@CREGGYAS I know, it was so startling!

holy shit, that was a creepy ending

@Nightshift10000 They aren't even efficient, they're pretty stupid actually. Selling out their fellow humans for biased drug laws. They're all idiots if they think they're doing any good. I guess ignorance is efficient though. The laws the uphold are certainly ignorant.

"we are the dead" is also a song by david bowie, a great tune on the "diamond dogs" album, which is a kind of concept album based on his view on the book

his number in the book was 6079 no 6090

Kind of reminds me of the United States now, nothing is truely efficient but the police.

Talk about conspiracy theories!! This is like the revelations when you watch the Zeitgeist Movie. Watch it and you will see the lies our governments want us to believe.
What a place to cut... I always wonder if Julia's plan (voluntarily becoming proles) would have worked, though probably not, as the book strongly implies that the Party does not tolerate the existence of over-intelligent proles. Terrifying stuff, to which "Dracula" is a mere fairy-tale (though Peter Cushing remains the best Van Helsing by a long shot :) ).
