The Wheelie Bin Lid Lifter is now available at the larger B&Q stores and Lakeland.

My wheelie bin doesn't have a handle like the one in the picture so there is nothing to tie the string to. It wouldn't work!

A professional lid lifter demonstration model! :)

I agree the pedal is to high..this is a great idea but needs a few modifications to make it widely saleable. The lifter needs to be permanently fixed. Perhaps they just need to manufacture the wheelie bins with pedals.?

Just saw this on dragons den, although I think it's a great idea there's a point I don't like about it. The foot pedal is too high, even your demonstrator has to support himself with hands on the bin itself which nullifies the keep hands clean point. I think this cuts out a lot of the market as well since the elderly who would probably go for this might not have the dexterity to use it.

You can adjust the height of the pedal very easily. I have posted the prodcut for sale on ebay the ID no is 150362486855

Great Idea but how can I stop it being stolen? My bin is in front of my house. So by the time i've put it on I could have put the bags down lifted the lid put in the rubbish and closed the lid manually. If it could be fixed on permanantly I would by it.

It is difficult to secure safely without any modification. It can be removed easily when needed but there would be no point removing it and replacing it every time you need to use it.
