Oh really we gave up our first rounder that we would have spent on a DE anyways, our original 3rd rounder and and extra 3rd rounder.
Since we would have used the pick to get a DE, instead we got one of the top young DE's in the NFL rather than an unproven rookie.
Basically we gave up our original 3rd rounder for the right to "draft" Allen at the number 17 spot.
Anyone who thinks this is a bad deal for the Vikings might need to have their heads examined.
