@jerrysboys2 David Cassidy, was getting tired. The show was moved from Friday, to Saturday and it killed the show. After this season, the Partridge's tree was chopped town.

Ricky Segall didn't even last until the end of that season and was never featured in the opening credits.

@rolley2001 I don't blame him for wanting to move on and not be pigeonholed by the show,but he'd have stayed put if he knew then what he knows now.He's acted and released albums since then,but those are all virtually forgettable.

This episode with ricky shot this show right in the ass as far as respect, dignity and most of all RATINGS. Why the hell did they need this kid who wasnt a contribution in any way to the Partridge Family and their following. He was probably the producers nephew or something assinine like that and by installing him they pretty much ruined the show forever. Now all these years later after the damage is done the little bastard is nowhere to be found. Sad.
