E MON is a Bangla Fusion album, where Bangla songs have been placed alongside World Music. Lyrics, Composition and Music Arrangement are by Chandrachur Mukherjee, who is also sings the songs. A myriad of Indian and Western classical instruments, as well as pop and folk ones have been used to create different moods, and several genres of music have come together in this album to present a complete musical experience for the listeners.
SONG SYNOPSIS: E Mon: His heart cannot accept that she has left him. Time stops for him, while the rest of the world goes on. He prefers to remain in his world of fantasy, in order to escape the pain of losing her. The living world becomes a void for him, with only the memories of his lost beloved keeping him going.
CHANDRACHUR MUKHERJEE
Chandrachur Mukherjee is a Music Composer who is a Pianist, Keyboardist, Lyricist and a Vocalist who also plays the blues harp and the guitars as well as many other musical instruments. In Hindustani classical music, Chandrachur has been groomed as a Vocalist in the Patiala Gharana. He is also proficient in Rabindrasangeet, having learnt from Dakshini, the famous Rabindrasangeet Gurukul. He can foray effortlessly between the Indian and Western genres of music, fusion being his forte.
