how do you find the pH of a weak polyprotic acid (oxalic acid)?!? or the pH of OOCCOO2-? because doesn't it have to get protonated twice to become oxalic acid again?

thinks he is tricky....

The first dissociation of the acid into hydrogen oxalate is completely sufficient to calculate pH from: the second step makes very little hydronium to worry about (to the usual 2 to 3 numbers after the decimal place in the pH)
