  • The first dissociation of the acid into hydrogen oxalate is completely sufficient to calculate pH from: the second step makes very little hydronium to worry about (to the usual 2 to 3 numbers after the decimal place in the pH)

  • how do you find the pH of a weak polyprotic acid (oxalic acid)?!? or the pH of OOCCOO2-? because doesn't it have to get protonated twice to become oxalic acid again?
