I see someone driving a Ferrari I expect them to be a tool who doesn't know his 430 has two clutches. I see a man in a Gtr and I assume he bought it because of its stats that he can use to brag to the 430 owner behind him in the line at starbucks. If I see a man driving a Gt2/3, I know that man is fucking insane.

@xkg20t Dude, you're a tool and a douche bag.. I never mentioned anything about drag racing in a quarter mile. A true race tests a car in every aspect; one of the most important aspects is how fast a car can get to speed. What people say, "lets race, but we'll start gently and wait till about 40 mph, then go." That's what street racers do, not professionals. So, if you wanna lecture people about farm boy drag racing and their "lack of passion" aplly for a douch bag license, and go elsewhere.

@ellisfreedman I think it's because Ferrari owners have this sense of "yeah well, I'm better than you cus I drive..." once they buy one. Something that GTR owners probably don't really get!

Although I have the feeling that if you met a GTR and a 458 at a set of red lights, the GTR would be much more likely to attempt to start a race..! ;)

@HsnNmr it was a typo & It's not an outlandish claim for what i've heard at track days & car meets, gtr owners brag to everyone about their cars numbers like how i said. Not internet fanbois, but real owners. i've heard them babbling to 911 owners about ring times and 0-60 numbers. Its funny cause they overlook the fact that the people they're talking to don't care at all about what their yapping about. They brag/gloat in their own way, a way different then that of way that ferrari owners do.

@ellisfreedman In my opinion you're making an outlandish claim so you'd want to double check what you post first. I think you're wrong and this is why:

You have it the other way around. People who buy the GTR would NOT go around boasting. While Ferrari owners are more likely to flaunt the fact they have a Ferrari and wouldn't act as modest as a GTR owner possibly would. NATURALLY, this is over generalizing and only represents a portion of these buyers.

I'd take the 458 any day over the GTR.
