Here's an overview of the units sitting outside the Dixmoor shops. As many of you know, you can get permission into this facility. Today, I found some interesting stuff sitting behind the shops including Metra F40C #610 and some sort of Korean Alco looking thing.

At the end, I filmed a few old cop cruisers sitting near the shops. Dixmoor Police have had these sitting here for awhile, just like the locomotives at NRE.

  • You may have signed in at the door, but you have done something to piss them off. Now all railfans are banned! I dont understand why the younger railbuffs have to put everything on here? What is the big deal? Why cant you keep your vidios at home? Keep up the good work Frank....soon we all will banned from every aspect of railroading....very soon!

  • I'm not the first to put a video from Dixmoor up here. EJE665 has one and I'm sure if you look around, you'll find more. There's also plenty of photos from here on the railpictures and rrpicturearchives websites, among others. If my video alone did something, thats pretty ridiculous.

  • Yes, but you're the one who posted a video tour in side the shops. Which is probably a no, no.

  • Yeah back in June. If that was the issue, all this would have happened then.

  • this in mtl?

  • this is a really nice vid forget what those other guys said

  • Very cool and yet a bit depressing seeing all those old units awaiting scrapping or otherwise. Hopefully, most will at least find use on a shortline or regional somewhere. It reminds me of the time I got a tour of Progressive Rail Services.

  • Why was that Metra F40C there?

  • is this a scrap yard

  • Will any of these classics run again?
