For me, Diana Damrau and lldebrando d'Arcangelo are one of the best performers in current opera scene. They sing and act brilliantly. The production is also excellent. It is adapted to current times but still respect the tradition and the time of this story that is the time of Mozart and Beaumarchais. Great!

Wow, Ildebrando D'Arcangelo is by far the HOTTEST and most good looking I've ever seen. Most Figaros I've seen are usually are the "jolly fat man" types but this guy - wow. No wonder Susanna loves him! I much prefer Figaro to be handsome and not the Count. The Count should be an older aristocratic pig.

To me this is one of the best production and best performers nowadays. The production is adopted to our time, but still respect the tradition and period of the play, the time of Bormarrchais and Mozart. Diana Damrau and Lldebrando D'Arcangelo play brilliantly here.

Ohhh... I must say... With Mozart you have to REALLY do it the way HE WANTED IT. He was very strict like that... So, that's really important to be EXACTLY. ON. THE. BEAT. lol XD

I ALMOST lucked out and got to see them both at the Met in a single weekend. Unfortunately, I will only see Ildebrando's Leporello and will have to miss Diana's Lucia. This pisses me off SO much...but hopefully I can see her Gilda. And it'll be all I can do to stop myself from jumping Ildebrando from the orchestra seats...haha.
