Unfortunately, no. Read the NY Times Magazine piece -- only the 4 Beatles will be represented -- I guess that means no Billy Preston either. Also, in the article, the game makers said they're going to sugarcoat history a bit and have all 4 Beatles in the studio for every song -- even though Paul played drums on Back in the USSR and John never even showed up for the recordings of Here Comes the Sun and Something.

Ah. Fair enough. I guess that means no Alan Civil for the french horn on "For No One"? Lol. ;)
I think the reason Billy Preston isn't there is because there's no piano instrument for Rockband. It's not that they're "screwing things up as usual" or whatever.
