  • @Ascair12 due to persecution of irish and scottish immigrants in america many began to change the "Mac" to "Mc" so that they would not be recognized as such. so it's quite possible that this persons family was once MacDonald.

    On my father's side we have the scottish and go back a few generations and we hit mcdonald go back some more and we finally hit macdonald. on my mother's side we have the irish and it's basically the same situation, but you have to go quite a ways back to find a macdonald.
