Albert Hammond Jr. and his band were in town to play Station 4 in St. Paul and stopped by The Current Studio for a live performance and interview with Mary Lucia. Hammond, who plays lead and rhythm guitar, is also a member of the indie-rock band The Strokes. http://minnesota.publicradio.org/display/web/2007/06/07/albert_hammond_jr/

  • I miss The Strokes, but this sounds...a lot like them.

  • Lol I don't think it was like that, dude. They probably wanted to see what it felt like making music independant of the rest of the band and how it'd sound like.

Personally, I never understood how the fans of the first two strokes albums thought the third was too mainstream and sellout :s
