Topped the UK club charts and next to be released by Universals AATW label for the rest of the world. Featuring Second Sun front man Antoine and San Fran diva Marcia Juell. Rock meets pop meets house. After hooking up with Second Sun when they both played at the Tiesto after party in LA Matt put together this radio smash under his Sunburst alias. It took 2.5 years to clear this baby with rock gods U2 sound alike Chorus but it still sounds fresh being a style unto its own.
An important figure in the development of dance music, especially trance, U.K. producer and DJ Matt Darey released his first single in 1992, signing to Warner Bros. shortly thereafter and issuing a series of records -- either under his own name or as one of his various aliases (as a member of Lost Tribe, for example) or in collaboration with others -- including 1994's "Point Zero" and 2000's "Beautiful," and the Euphoria series. In 2000 Darey took a break to travel around the world, returning to music in 2003 and starting his own label, Darey Productions. In 2005 the EP Point Zero (which included the title song) came out in the U.S., followed by Upfront Trance, an album of both remixes and originals that the DJ said reflected his club set. In 2007 Nocturnal, a compilation of material from Darey's radio show of the same name, hit shelves

cool, it's a beautiful day here in newport! thanks for the info - i love this song which does remind me a lot of van Dyk's more epic and uplifting trance - for me this song is a youngster and completely new. It's great to feel that click again.

@JACKSPADE100 I've never heard this awesome song before though there were a couple of awesome gay club hits back in the late 90s called "Beautiful Day" and "Perfect Day" that I've sadly never heard since (I found this one searching for "Beautiful Day" which has an amazing melodic line played with chimes/bells right after the line "such a beautiful day." But jeez that was back in '98 or so). How old is this one? Since I'm not new I figured it was, but I guess not?

wow! This is the first song I've heard in years that can send me soaring straight to heaven since van Dyk's "Other Side" which, as wonderful a song as it is, always makes me cry. It's great to hear one that fills me with joy and can't fail to bring a big smile every time I hear "it's a beautiful day..the sun on my face." I've been bouncing all around the house playing this song over and over since I discovered it a couple hours ago. Love it!
