It can't do:

- tracing over previous images

- paper flip animation

- no colour

- Exporting digitally of what you wrote?

- sustainable power (e.g. solar)

- not even feature to erasing portion of the tablet.

I think I will stick with my pen & paper, until I've seen a product that truly replaces the 2000+ years old technology. As of now it remains a gimmick.

BTW this cost more than some fully featured tablet/ smartphone.

@XellosTheDragon Forgive me for taking more than 6 months to respond to your comment. As we speak I have the Acer A500, and it has the ability to take notes *with* a simple stylus that I got from Best Buy for around $16.99. The HTC Flyer is a Tablet running Android 2.2 which has the ability to take notes with a special styles.

I've been waiting for this product to come out since I heard about it in... April '11? And I was hoping to use it for college which is a year away for me, but it seems like they aren't going to release it... They keep extending the release date, apologizing for the delays, on and on....

the picture at 0:15 shows a noteslate with 3 different colors, there will be ones win blue, yellow, red, white, black,... but not a combination of them (only 1-bit)
