With Steven Epstein (MassCann/NORML), Bill Breault, and Mike Cann.

Steven Epstein talks about US Supreme court upholding states rights to medical marijuana and medical users in MA that need legal cannabis.

Bill Breault doesn't address the sick people that are denied medicine that helps them.

Mike Cann (me), I talk about my wrestling injury, medical marijuana, the anger I feel watching patients like Marci Duda denied their medicine of choice.

More videos from this hearing to be posted.

  • Hey Mike, I heard about a hearing today for a bunch of medical marijuana bills in Massachusetts. I was wondering, when will we find out what was accepted and what was declined?, And if medical marijuana was accepted then when would the laws go into effect?

  • We will know something in next for weeks if it's still alive or killed again for this year's bill...We might actually get a vote this time. Pressure is on the Chair and Speaker. We've had hundreds of calls to each. A new article in the newspaper with quotes from the Chair on it..All sorts of lobbying going on to even with Reps lobbying for us. We'll see, you never know in one party MA until they announce it...

  • MassCann still hasn't gotten medical marijuana legalized in MA. Why is that? I thought we were liberal here.

Turmeric is excellent just Google "whfoods"

Basil is also great Google "Anti-inflammatory compound from cannabis found in herbs"

  • Thank you Mike for standing up and being a strong voice. Im considering doing what I can. But I am afraid of being to "noticed" by stero typical people and etc.

Ty again for what you are doing.

  • But cannabis of course is the best to bring that immediate relief without killing your liver.

  • exactly, names a couple of conditions, when there are many dozens more.

  • whoops, accidentally deleted my first reply...Yes, I got that, too. And his statistics were misleading: To prove that there are virtually no older CA patients, Mr B. cites the number of age 50+ CA patients who have been prescribed marijuana for Crohn's Disease (sp?) and AIDS. He uses numbers for those 2 conditions only--while in CA, elderly people are being prescribed medical cannabis for arthritis, rheumatism, depression, anxiety, etc.

  • And no young person ever has a need for medicine! I'm in that age range of not being 50 plus and I do need medical cannabis. I guess that doesn't work for Mr. B. Clearly because of my age, I'm abusing it!

  • I'm in the same position, otc and scrips kill my stomach. Some other natural anti-inflammatories that help me that you might want to try as well. Tumeric used to cook food with can be found in any indian type food store. It's also an ingredient in some rice pilafs found in grocery stores. Try that too. It really works wonders like cannabis does. And I also find that omega fish oil pills help with the inflammation.
